Frequently Asked Questions - Booking

What's the difference between this site and the official site?

Hanauma Bay Reservation Pro is operated by an independent booking agency dedicated to helping tourists and locals secure tickets to Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. We are not affiliated with the official online reservation website of Hanauma Bay. The official site, which can be found at https://pros.hnl.info/hanauma-bay, provides comprehensive information about the preserve, including rules and regulations, and current status. For booking assistance, you can use our site, but for detailed information about the preserve itself, please visit the official website.

Can I book for someone else?

Absolutely, we appreciate that many of our visitors are tourists and it's not uncommon for friends or family to make reservations on behalf of someone else. Please ensure that you enter the correct name of the intended visitor when booking, as this will be used to verify their identity upon arrival.

Keep in mind, however, that the reservations are strictly non-transferable once made. This means the person whose name is on the reservation must present a valid ID along with the confirmation ticket at the admission window. No photos or copies of ID of the visitor will be accepted.

How far in advance can I reserve?

You can reserve your preferred time slots for Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve starting two or three days in advance, excluding Mondays and Tuesdays when Hanauma Bay is closed. Once you've placed an order and selected your preferred time slots, we’ll handle the rest and do our best to secure spots for you based on your preferences.

While you can technically reserve further in advance, it’s generally more practical to make reservations for the upcoming few days or weeks to ensure alignment with your travel plans.

Is there an additional reservation fee?

Yes, we do charge a reservation fee of $11.98 for each ticket. Rest assured, there are no hidden costs associated with your booking.

Furthermore, our reservation fee is fully refundable in the event you cancel your reservation prior to the booking of your ticket, or if no tickets are available for your selected time slot.

What is a transaction fee?

A transaction fee is a charge by the payment processor (PayPal) when you make an online payment. This fee is collected by PayPal and is non-refundable. Therefore, if you cancel an order, you will receive a full refund for the order amount, but not the transaction fee.

For international commercial transactions, PayPal transaction fee is typically around 4.2% of the total payment.

How will I know when my tickets have been issued?

After placing an order on our website and selecting your preferred time slots, there’s nothing more you need to do.

You should receive an email two days before your earliest chosen admission time, updating you on the booking status. If your reservation is successful, you will receive an email directly from the official Hanauma Bay reservation website. This email will include the visitor's name, a confirmation number, admission time, parking information, and other important details. Please read the email carefully and bring it, along with a valid ID, when visiting Hanauma Bay. The visitor will need to present these at the entrance.

I did not receive an email confirmation - What should I do?

If you haven't received an email about your reservation two days before your earliest chosen admission time, there could be a few reasons for this. It could be that there was a typo in your email address at the time of booking or the confirmation email might have ended up in your spam/junk folder.

Firstly, we recommend checking your spam/junk folder to ensure our confirmation email didn't land there. If you can't locate the email, please get in touch with us so we can assist you further.

You can send us a message via our Contact Us page, or alternatively, you can directly email us at contact@hanaumabay.rsvp or text us at (862) 520-7474. Please provide us with the details of your reservation, and we will do our utmost to resolve the issue promptly.
